Your class's parent list — without the school handing one out
The moment
Curriculum night. Twenty-odd parents on small chairs. Everyone wants a way to reach the others, and the school can't give out a list.
Today
A paper sheet goes round and someone types it into WhatsApp. Now every parent's number sits in a group of near-strangers, and whoever missed the sheet is left out.
How it works here
Before the evening, open a room called “Class 2B parents”.
At the end, show the address and the code on your phone or the classroom screen. Every parent sends it one email.
Close the room before people leave. The list lands on every phone at once.
Say this
“Before we go: if you'd like the other parents' details, and for them to have yours, send one email to this address. Put your number in the subject if you're happy to share it; leave it out if not. No app, no group chat. In a few minutes you'll all get one contact file, and then it's deleted.”

- Ten minutes, while people chat. Close it by hand once the last parent has sent.

- Nothing. 15 minutes after the file is sent, the room's details are deleted.
